  • Caitlin Clark and head coach Christie Sides of the Indiana Fever spoke with reporters Monday night in Atlanta before facing the Dream for the first time in over two months. Both teams are very different.
    Clark was also asked about the fans, the game attracting nearly 20,000 fans, games during the Olympic break to aid with team chemistry, and the push to the playoffs. Sides returns to Atlanta and she touched on lineups, what she wants to see from her team and how the Dream are difference.
    Both teams are coming off losses.

    OMG, A press conference that you can actually HEAR THE QUESTIONS!!!!! What a GREAT idea!!!! How did you ever teach the reporters to talk into a microphone? This is groundbreaking journalism!!!

    Is there any other athlete in history that has had the impact on their sport that Caitlin has had?

      no sport that im aware of no as far as after i was born (1996(, i think Connor Mcdavid could have had a similar impact in the NHL if the league had marketed him properly

      Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods.

    • @oldcremona
      @oldcremona 17 дней назад

      @@v2807 Michael Jordan is the NBA GOAT, but his league had many, many other great players, as great as he is I don’t think you can say his impact is equal to Caitlin’s. Tiger Woods is a great example, however, he probably transformed professional golf.

    Sounds like they are throwing this game tonight...Sides needs to send a pr person to these interviews. Everytime she does one of these you have to just scratch your head. Is this really our coach?

    Why do the press always ask FLUFF questions. How about why CC does not take control in crunch time, how about why CC gives up the ball when she has a clear shot in the lane, ask why CC seems lost on defense. How about asking Christy Sides why in the world she starts Sameualsen and Smith. Ask the real questios.

    • @v2807
      @v2807 17 дней назад

      Those are things we all want to know. But realistically, the players aren’t free to answer such questions publicly. And the coach probably isn’t either!

      Have you heard some of the pure fluff interviews other teams have during oregam and postgame interviews... Caitlin interviews get great playback and meaningful responses

      I think next season some of that pressure will be off and she won’t be as timid in crunch time. Imagine if she missed and lost them the game

    Where is Sides ? isn't it time that management protect the team. This team has a game to play and needs to focus on quiet game warmup not Reporters and promotional that comes after the game someone needs to step up and do their JOB and not be catering to these sports hounds and in your face they the reporters need to do their Jobs as as sports journalist. These players are in need of space from all this pressure of media psyche reporter mob. Yes advert build up is important but done at right time.

    Hey Coach has anyone asked N. SMITH and Katie Lou what's going on last 3 games? Are you convinced Lexi Hull is the most energetic defensive player on the court?

    Well already Grey is full court face checking CC and CC is giving Grey 5 to 8 feet to set up plays . Who is coaching this defense ! Too much spacing and not sticking to your assessment

    • @DustyTail
      @DustyTail 16 дней назад

      Defense is easier to learn but way way harder to encourage or demand. All about position and that ugly word..
      “Effort”. And that can’t be taught.
